GWT Beef was born from a partnership between two multi-generational ranching families, both raised on Oklahoma Centennial Farms along the historic Great Western Cattle Trail.

From pasture rotation to proprietary feed blends, we raise and select every animal with purpose. Our beef isn’t just high-quality—it’s a reflection of decades of experience, culinary pride, and a deep respect for the land and livestock that sustain us.

Born on the Trail

GWT Beef’s story begins on the dust-worn paths of the Great Western Cattle Trail — a route carved by grit, tradition, and the hoofbeats of thousands of longhorns. These trails, stretching from Texas to Kansas and beyond, carried more than cattle — they carried a way of life. At GWT Beef, this legacy lives on. Rooted in generations of ranching, Todd Mason and Julie Oxford continue what their forefathers began. Their Oklahoma Centennial Farms are more than land — they’re living pieces of history where the values of the trail—resilience, care, and hard work—are part of everyday life. The herd still moves under the open sky, guided by people who know the land and cattle by instinct.

Riding with Tradition

While modern ranching often leans on technology, GWT Beef leans into tradition. Each day starts with the same sunrise that watched over the old cattle drives. Now days the dust of the drive is replaced with spoiled cattle that come to feed instead of having to get in the saddle daily. Todd carefully selects what calves are chosen for the feed pen. He monitors their progress, as each animal gains differently; they are only moved to your food supply when Todd knows they are ready. Julie, with her culinary background, ensures the journey doesn’t stop at the pasture. She brings a chef’s passion for flavor, balance, and quality. Todd brings the cattleman’s eye — refined by decades of experience and generations before him. Every step, from pasture to plate, is intentional and steeped in the wisdom of time. Here, tradition isn’t nostalgia—it’s a practice. And every steak tells that story.
